Man Utd told to sign Leeds United coach as replacement for Rangnick
Man Utd are on the search for a permanent coach that would replace interim coach Ralf Rangnick in the summer.
In a latest statement, former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino has advised the Res Devils to go for Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa as Rangnick’s replacement at Old Trafford.
Bielsa became Leeds United coach in 2018 and has transformed the West Yorkshire club over the past few years, leading them to win the Championship title in 2019/20.
Man United appointed Rangnick temporarily for the remainder of the season after they sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in December.
But Cascarino believes Bielsa would be an “incredible fit” for Man United as he has “overachieved everywhere.”
“Bielsa has overachieved everywhere, he has been because he has had to,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“I think Bielsa gets a really raw deal in many ways. Think of Leeds [United] before he walked through the door and look where they are now.
“He produces very, very effective teams. Leeds can be a really good team to play and a really bad team to play. When they’re on, they are fantastic.
“Bielsa has done it in a very different way in many different countries. I personally love his brand of football and I think he would be an incredible fit for Manchester United.”
