Man Utd reportedly in contract extension with this defender
The latest report has claimed that Man Utd are in talks with their centre back defender in a bid to extend his contract at Old Trafford.
The report disclosed that the Red Devils are willing to keep Bailey at the club for another few years despite the fact they are on a move to sign a new defender in the coming summer transfer window which is months away.
The reason the Red Devils want to keep Bailly at the club is not really understood as the 26-year-old has been struggling with several fitness problems this campaign.
So far, Bailly has made just 13 appearances in all competitions for Man Utd this season, which is not an impressive one.
His last outing was in the Uefa Europa League when the Red Devils played against Real Sociedad although he played for the full 90 minutes.
He jas always been on and off in the team as he played four straight league matches between December and January but has only featured once in England’s top flight since, this is as a result of the fact that Ole prefers to start Victor Lindelof alongside Harry Maguire.
According to The Sun, Man Utd are in discussions with the Ivory Coast international over a new long-term.
The report revealed that Bailly whose contract is expected to end in 2022 will be sold in this summer if he fails to agree to an extension.
