Man Utd have spent almost £1 Billion on players, are they really cursed?

Man Utd goalkeeper David De Gea seems to find it hard to explain the reason behind the club’s poor performance.

De Ges, during a statement with El Pais, said he could not explain why they have fallen behind their rivals in the Premier League as he believes Man Utd may have been cursed.

The Spain international won the title in his second season at Old Trafford before lifting the FA Cup in 2016 and both the League Cup and Europa League in 2017, respectively.

However, since then, Man United have not won any silverware, and with the looks of things season, they are bound to end it without a trophy.

Since the retirement of legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, Man Utd have never remained the same as they have gone on to sign four different coaches with no changes.

They have also spent almost £1 billion on players, yet no improvement in their squad and perhaps they may have been cursed as De Gea claims.

“I think someone has put a curse on us or something.

“The truth is I don’t know what’s going on, I really don’t.

“People always ask me and we talk about it as team-mates and we just say “we don’t know what’s happening”.

“We should have competed for more trophies, bigger titles, but I just don’t know why this team doesn’t function,” De Gea said.
