Man United are on the verge of a meltdown – Premier League pundit claims

Popular Premier League pundit Paul Merson has insisted that Manchester United are on the verge of a meltdown as they continue to struggle in the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been struggling in recent week as they have won just one of their last five Premier League matches, and this have got them languishing 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Manchester United position comes after they’ve been on top of the table in the middle of March and Paul Merson has expressed doubt in the sides ability to remain in the top four.

Speaking in his column for the Daily Star, Merson wrote that Manchester United were top of the league not so long ago and if a team is in with a chance of winning the title and then they don’t finish in the top four, that’s a major collapse.

Merson noted that United have stopped scoring goals and teams below them have winnable games and this have seen them open the door and they could be caught.

He pinpointed that when questions have to be asked about the players, United boast the liked of Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Daniel James.

According to Merson, there’s a lot of ammunition there as these are players who can hurt you but too often it’s all about Bruno Fernandes.

Merson noted that United are always waiting for Bruno Fernandes to do something special but teams are targeting him now and he’s getting tired.
