How Ole managed to keep his job at Old Trafford
Man Utd returned to action this weekend when they faced Tottenham Hotspurs in the English Premier League, winning all three points.
The Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had come under intense pressure after his side suffered an embarrassing defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
However, the outcome of the match vs Tottenham has given Solskjaer another chance at his job at Old Trafford.
Thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford, the Red Devils were able to deliver three points and keep their coach from being sacked.
Popular journalist Ekrem Konur said the result from the match had saved Solskjaer’s job.
Konur had taken to social media ahead of the clash in North London to reveal that the 48-year-old Norwegian manager would have been relieved of his duties with a loss against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Well, Solskjaer will remain in charge at Man Utd as they will now switch their attention to the Champions League when they make a trip to Italy on Tuesday night to play against Atalanta BC.
Man Utd are now seated at the fifth position in the Premier League log with three points behind third-placed Manchester City.
