Former Man Utd star considered as interim replacement for Amorim

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim’s job is on the line at the club as they are said to be looking for replacement.
The Red Devils’ performance have continued to dipped this season as they are currently at the 14 spot on the league table after finishing outside the top 10 last season.
Amid calls for Amorim’s sack, there are speculations that the Red Devils could consider an interim manager for the rest of the season.
According to The Sun, former midfielder Fletcher has been shortlisted as one of the favourites to take over if Amorim is sacked before the end of the season.
Recall that the Scotsman was appointed as the under-18s head coach at the end of June, impressing the club with his managerial style, with the results to show, too.
Others being considered for Man Utd job are former Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who managed the club following Jose Mourinho’s sack in the 2018-19 season.
Michael Carrick was reported to be on the club’s list for an interim role. He, however, now has a new job as a Technical Observer for UEFA.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, while former England coach Gareth Southgate and Barcelona legend Xavi’s name have also emerged among those on the target list.
