Former Man Utd star believes club’s newest signing will help Hojlund shine

Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has shared his opinion about to the club’s newest signee Joshua Zirkzee.

Brown in a statement believe the addition of Zirkzee to the Red Devils squad is a boost which would positively affect fellow striker Rasmus Hojlund shine at Man United.

The former defender considers the 23-year-old signee as a very good option to Hojlund.

Recall that the Red Devils recently completed the Dutchman’s transfer from Bologna in a deal worth £33 million.

Speaking via the Euro Thrash Podcast, Brown expressed how happy he is with the deal added that a young lad like Zirkzee is the kind of player that Man Utd need.

Brown pointed out that Hojlund’s lack of goal for the Red Devils will be solved with the Dutchman now in the team.

“Everything else in his game is good. It is good that there is now a small battle between the two to see who is going to be playing. It is a very good option and an option that we needed,” he said.

He added that the Red Devils will no longer need to bank on the youth team when they need a striker in place of Hojlund.

With a new addition to their frontline, the Red Devils under manager Erik ten Hag will hope to compete for trophies next season.
