Ferguson backs former Newcastle Utd coach as interim coach
Manchester United legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly tipped former Newcastle Utd coach Steve Bruce to take the vacant spot at Old Trafford.
This comes after the Red Devils on Sunday sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following their devastating defeat to Watford over the weekend in the premier league.
At the moment, Michael Carrick has been named the Red Devils caretaker, and he would lead them to face Villarreal in Spain tonight in the UCL.
Man Utd have been linked with more than one coach they can sign on an interim basis.
According to a report by Football Insider, Sir Alex Ferguson would like that coach to be former Manchester United defender Steve Bruce, who was recently let go by Newcastle United.
The report revealed that Ferguson is of the belief that Bruce would bring experience to the role to keep things steady for this season before a full-time manager is signed in the coming summer transfer window.
Steve Bruce, during his coaching career, has managed 1,000 matches throughout his spells with the likes of Sunderland, Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
