A recent report has revealed Manchester United are considering giving their midfielder Sofyan Amrabat a permanent contract this summer.

However, the Red Devils are said to have given a condition to make midfielder Amrabat’s contract permanent.

Recall that Amrabat moved to Old Trafford on a season-long loan from Fiorentina last September after him impressive outing with Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Man United offered him a loan deal which included an option to make his move permanent this summer which the Red Devils have declined to take up, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The report added that the Red Devils are interested in negotiating a new deal with Fiorentina to sign the Moroccan on a permanent transfer after informing the club they will not trigger a €20million (£16.8m) buy option.

Recall that Amrabat was unable to replicate his fine form at the world cup as he struggled during his first season in the Premier League.

He, however, managed to force his way back into manager Erik ten Hag’s side at the end of the season, impressing in their final league games against Newcastle United and Brighton before his top performance in the FA Cup victory against Manchester City in the final.
