Cavani reveals who convinced him to stay put at Old Trafford

Recall that on Monday, Ivision Sport reported that Man Utd striker and Uruguay international, Edison Cavani has decided to extend his contract with the Red Devils.

The report revealed that Cavani agreed to stay back at Old Trafford for one more season.

The Uruguay international since joining Man Utd has become a key player at the club.

While many believed coach Ole Solkjaer Gunnar was the one that convinced Cavani to extend his contract, the striker in a recent statement has revealed what made him agree to the nee deal.

He said his motivation to stay is quite simple and it is because of exactly what the club represents as an entity, as an organization.

“That is down to the club itself, but also the people who work behind the scenes and within the club, obviously the supporters as well. As the days, weeks and months pass by, you do get to develop a huge affection for the club, and I think, on a human level, it creates a bond with yourself, your teammates and everybody who is part of the club, and you start to feel that, ” he told Man Utd official website.
