Bad luck: Amorim shared reason behind Onana’s temporary exit

Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana’s temporary exit from Man Utd this summer has continued to gain attention.
Recently, the Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim shared the reason behind Onana’s exit.
Recall that the goalie performed below the expectations at Old Trafford during his two seasons at the club.
The Cameroon international was mostly singled out for criticism for the Red Devils’ 15th-place finish in the English Premier League last campaign.
He arrived at Man Utd from Italian Serie A side Inter Milan as a replacement for veteran goalkeeper David De Gea.
Following his poor form at Old Trafford, Man Utd ensured he was one of the players to leave this summer transfer window.
Onana has now joined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan, as Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayındır takes his place.
The Cameroon star only featured in the Carabao Cup second-round exit at Grimsby Town this season.
Speaking during a pre-match conference ahead of the Red Devils’ match with Manchester City on Sunday, Amorim said Onana did great at Inter Milan but Man Utd as a club needed a change.
“Sometimes it’s hard to point why, the performance, the moment, the bad luck in some moments was hard on him.
“I wish André all the very best,” the Red Devils boss added.
