Manchester United caretake Michael Carrick could earn the permanent job as the Red Devils manager at the end of the season.

Should he secure the job, he would be out to sign new players to build his team for a competitive season.

To sign new players, an overhaul is expected to take occur in the Red Devils squad.

While Casemiro is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, GiveMeSport revealed that Man United have reached agreement with Barcelona for the Spanish club to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal this summer.

It, however, reported that the negotiations over how that deal is going to be paid remains a key part of the conversation.

Tyrrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho will also leave Man Utd with their deal due to expire.

According to the reports, the Red Devils also want to jettison goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer, while Rasmus Hojlund, Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee are other names expected to depart leave at some point during the summer transfer window.

The exit of these players would create plenty of space in the squad for Carrick to bring in new signings.
