Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has joined the list of high profile managers to share their thoughts on the dismissal of Lampard at Chelsea.

Just like Solskjaer at United, Lampard has been under intense pressure at Chelsea ever since he took the job 18 months ago and he was finally discharged on Monday.

A run of two wins in eight Premier League matches saw Frank Lampard become the latest manager to face the axe under Roman Abramovic era.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer whose United team are currently soaring on top of the league has now revealed how surprised he was when he heard the news of Lampard’s sacking.

Speaking about the situation of Lampard at Chelsea, Solskjaer stated that one thing he knows for sure is that the English trainer does not want anyone to feel sorry for him.

He noted that he knows Lampard’s character and mentality and he’ll bounce back and have a very good managerial career.

Solskjaer insisted that Lampard went through a patchy spell, as Chelsea were top of the league not long ago before the first dip in form Chelsea had under Frank.
