Liverpool set to rival Manchester United for the signature of experience Premier League star
Liverpool and Manchester United are set to face off in their first battle ahead of the new season as they compete to sign Aston Villa star, John McGinn.
John McGinn has proven himself in the Premier League with Aston Villa and his currently putting in an impressive performance for Scotland at the European Championship.
His impressive performance has now caught the eye of top teams in the league with Manchester United reportedly on top of the list.
However, latest reports from Sunday Post, as relayed by Not The Old Firm has revealed that Liverpool are willing to compete with Manchester United in the race to sign John McGinn.
According to the report, Liverpool believes McGinn can replace Georginio Wijnaldum who joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer.
The reds are also willing to let go of injury prone Naby Keita so as to have more fund that will aid the transfer of McGinn.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also expected to leave Liverpool, a move that mean McGinn will have a place in the squad if the transfer comes through.
A move to Anfield will be more favourable the Scottish player as he stands a better playing chances with the Reds than with Man Utd.
