Liverpool still want to sign one-time Chelsea target

Liverpool are apparently ‘weighing up the opportunity’ to move for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio in the next transfer window.

The Premier League giants are accepted to have shown an interest in the Spain international over the summer, but Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti stopped the 25-year-old from leaving the club.

Spain international scored hat-trick in Real Madrid’s 6-1 win over Mallorca on September 22 but has found it hard to make his mark for the capital giants this season.

As per ABC, the 25-year-old is back ‘available’, and Liverpool are contemplating launching a move in the January transfer.

The report asserts that Asensio is ‘contemplating’ his future with Los Blancos, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are probably going to face a stiff competition from various clubs for his signature.

The ex-Mallorca youngster has scored 40 goals and registered 22 assists in 200 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving at the Bernabeu in July 2015.
