Premier League side Liverpool have continue their hunt for a midfielder and AC Milan star Franck Kessie has been identified as their new target.
The reds are yet to replace Wijnaldum who joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer and are willing to do so before the summer transfer window close.
According to TeamTalk, Liverpool have now offered Franck Kessie a lucrative contract worth £130,000-a-week after opening talks with AC Milan.
TeamTalk are citing Sport Mediaset journalist Claudio Ramondi who stated that Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards has made contact with Kessie’s agent to discuss a possible move to Anfield.
According to Ramondi, Liverpool have offered Kessie a lucrative contract worth £6.9m [€9m] per year, which works out at around £130,000-a-week, and is a significant increase on the £98,000-a-week AC Milan are offering
Kessie has become a prominent figure in AC Milan’s dressing room and he played a huge role for the club last season.
The 24-year-old have just a year left on his current contract with AC Milan and Liverpool are eager to use that as an advantage.
