Koulibaly rates former Chelsea striker

Chelsea summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly before their Wednesday game spoke highly of their former striker, Oliver Giroud, who now plays for AC Milan.

Koulibaly, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Seria A side Napoli, said Giroud is a big player, who proved himself in Italy last year.

“He showed it in Serie A last year, he scored a lot of goals. He did the same at Chelsea,” Koulibaly said.

“He is a dangerous striker, you always need to be aware of him because he can score from anywhere. It will be tough for the defenders tomorrow, but we will be ready. It’s important that he doesn’t score and Chelsea win this game,” he added.

Chelsea ended up winning the match against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge as they ended up thrashing the Italian side in a 3-0 scoreline.

However, the second leg of the match which will be played at San Siro is not expected to be an easy one for the Blues as AC Milan will hope to harness their home advantage.
