Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has fired at the club over three of the summer signings which are Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella.

The three players who moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer were part of those who Chelsea spent over £280 million on under Thomas Tuchel.

On the other hand, Chelsea allowed experienced players like Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner leave during the same period.

While Fofana and Cucurella joined from Premier League clubs, Leicester City and Brighton respectively, Aubameyang signed for Chelsea from Spanish club Barcelona.

The likes of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Gabriel Slonina, and Denis Zakaria joining from Juventus on loan were all part of the Blues’ summer signings.

However, barely some weeks after their arrival, Tuchel was sacked and Graham Potter was brought in as his replacement.

“I’m very disappointed. I’m very disappointed with where Chelsea are,” Gallas told Genting Casino.

“They are not picking up any results, and I think the club are suffering after a transfer window and period where Tuchel was sacked that lacked any form of strategy.

“They spent a lot of money in the summer. The players that they signed have been performing below the expected level of a Chelsea player.

“Wesley Fofana is injured, but we all knew about his injury record. I don’t know what they are getting from Cucurella.

“They signed Aubameyang. He doesn’t look good – he did nothing against Arsenal and was on the bench against Newcastle. “
