Former Blues defender Robert Huth has revealed what Kai Havertz has to do if he wants to rejuvenate his career at Chelsea.

Kai Havertz was brought in by Frank Lampard during the summer transfer window but the Germany international has not been able to replicate the form that saw Chelsea pay £70 million ($91m) for his service.

The young midfielder has been forced to start from the bench in recent weeks as Chelsea continue to struggle under Frank Lampard.

Robert Huth who was in the heart of Chelsea defense some years ago has now insisted that Havertz requires better leadership at Stamford Bridge.

The former Chelsea centre-half while speaking with Stadium Astro stated that it’s all well and good saying that Kai Havertz needs to be the main guy but he’s at a big club and he needs to make that happen himself.

Robert Huth who insisted that he does not like Kai Havertz body language as he looks a bit lightweight noted that it’s hard for the young midfielder to shine.

The former Chelsea defender also stated that Kai Havertz looks like he’s not bothered at times as when he loses the ball, gives it away and doesn’t work back. It is a difficult time to come in with no fans, but you just want to shake him.

Not ready to hide under the shadow, Huth noted that Kai Havertz problem is that Chelsea lack that internal leader or leaders who can advise Kai Havertz whenever he losses the ball.

He added that Havertz needs someone to tell him what it takes to play in the Premier League, noting that it seems the whole changing room is a little bit too nice and there’s nobody to pass instructions.
