Following Man Utd poor performance vs Liverpool over the weekend that saw them concede five goals at Old Trafford, speculations have further increased on the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Red Devils manager.

In a recent update, former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte has once again been linked with moves to Old Trafford.

The report revealed that Conte, who has been out of a job since leaving San Siro last season, is interested in replacing Solskjaer.

Conte, during his reign at Stamford Bridge, won the Premier League title and FA Cup with Chelsea.

With the look of Man Utd poor form, it is uncertain that Solskjaer, who is now in his third full season, is capable of winning silverware as Old Trafford, which is why there is the need for a more qualified coach.

Journalist Duncan Castles, in a recent statement, has claimed that former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is also in the running for the United job.

“Conte’s position, I’m told, is that he is interested in the Manchester United job but not without restrictions.

“Antonio Conte, when he chooses his next club, wants a club where he can win the Champions League.

“He wants to demonstrate, he’s wanted to do it for a long time, that he is one of the very best coaches in world football. To do that he knows he has to win the Champions League.

“So Manchester United are interesting because of the squad they’ve got, because of their status and because of the resource that is behind them,” Castles told Reach’s The Transfer Window podcast.
