Everton want Chelsea star as a replacement for Gordon

Everton have been linked with moves for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, who they want to sign as a potential replacement for Anthony Gordon.

According to Sky Sports News, Everton are ready to pay up to £25m for the Moroccan, especially as Chelsea are considering letting him go this January.

However, Everton have denied making a bid for the 29-year-old Morocco star, who has been at Stamford Bridge since the summer of 2020 after joining from Ajax in a £33.3m deal.

Ziyech, who have struggled to impress at Chelsea have made just six starts in all competitions this season, having failed to score in his 15 appearances.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are said to be in talks with Everton over a deal for Gordon.

The Magpies had made moves to sign him last summer but it didn’t materialize, they have, however, returned this January and are keen on paying his £40 million transfer cost.

Chelsea on the other hand, however, don’t want to sell Ziyech to a Premier League rival and are considering a bid from Italian club AS Roma.
