Arsenal conclude signing of George Lewis 

Arsenal have concluded the signing of Norwegian youngster George Lewis, as per an executive at his previous club.

The 19-year-old purportedly intrigued during a preliminary with the Gunners in March before the coronavirus pandemic and now set to connect with the north London outfit on a free move.

George Lewis is out of contract subsequent to spending the last two seasons playing in Norway’s amateur league and also trained with League One outfit Ipswich Town earlier this season.

Arsenal are yet to authoritatively affirm the move, Jostein Jensen – sporting director of Lewis’ previous club Fram Larvik – claims the youngster has already signed for the Premier League club.

Indeed, we can affirm that. I have been informed that he has signed for Arsenal, Jensen revealed to Norwegian outlet VG.

George Lewis, was born Kigali, Rwanda, started his footballing career playing in the young set-up at Tromso 2 and has spent most of his childhood career playing in the Norwegian third tier.

While moderately obscure in his age group, it is trusted George Lewis intrigued Arsenal bosses during a fourteen day trial earlier in March.

He is required to link up with Steve Bould’s Under-23s development squad, as opposed to the first team, should the deal be affirmed.
