Liverpool have supposedly had a bid acknowledged for Motherwell youngster Sam Campbell.
Sam Campbell is yet to make his first-team debut for Motherwell but is accepted to have pulled in the consideration of various clubs, including Brighton and Hove Albion and Leeds United.
As per report, Liverpool have now had an offer acknowledged for the 16-year-old, who played for his Scottish club’s Under-18s at 14 years old.
The report asserts that Stephen Robinson’s side have offered Sam Campbell a three-year professional contract and are wanting to hold off interest from the Premier League to tie him to another contract.
The 16-year-old has just had a trial with the Premier League champions, however, and the Steelmen are facing a stiff battle to persuade him to turn down interest from Liverpool.
Crystal Palace are also accepted to watch out for the defender’s development.
