Deal AGREED: Manchester United star close to joining Roma

Roma have allegedly reached a breakthrough with Manchester United over Chris Smalling, with the defender set to join the Italian giants on a permanent deal.

Chris Smalling dominated during a loan spell at Roma last season, and the centre-back has not shown up for Manchester United this term in the midst of the hypothesis encompassing his future.

As indicated by report, after a series of disappointing talks, the two clubs have now agreed over a transfer fee, which is accepted to be above £18m.

The report asserts that now just minor details should be talked about, implying that the Italian outfit could authoritatively announced the 30-year-old as another signing soon.

The 30-year-old made many appearances for Roma during the 2019-20 season, contributing three goals and two assists in the process as he established a solid connection.

The ex-Fulham youngster has won two Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford.
