Worries for Chelsea as Liverpool reportedly keeping tabs on this Chelsea defender
The latest report has revealed that Liverpool are linked with moves for Chelsea defender and Germany international Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger’s contract with the Blues is set to lapse in the summer transfer window, with both sides yet to reach an agreement.
The reports revealed that Chelsea offer of £140,000 is short of £60,000 as the German defender wants an offer that would see him earn £200,000 at Stamford Bridge.
Eurosport, via the Liverpool Echo, have now claimed that the Reds are keeping tabs on Rudiger’s contract situation at Chelsea.
Chelsea have every reason to be worried as Rudiger has always been a huge admirer of Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp and this could make him consider transfer moves to Anfield.
Should Rudiger join, it would be a big blow on Chelsea, who considers the Reds as one of their major rivals in the Premier League.
Aside from Liverpool, Rudiger has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Chelsea have only one option of selling him in the January transfer window, or else they would lose him for free in the summer transfer window.
