World Cup: Chelsea defender sends warning to England ahead of game vs Senegal
Senegalese stars, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Kalidou Koulibaly have sent a warning to England ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 fixture on Sunday at the Al Bayt Stadium.
Gana said that Senegal have no limits ahead of the England clash, while Koulibaly stressed that they fear no one including the Three Lions.
Recall Senegal and England made it to the World Cup last 16 after beating Ecuador and Wales, respectively, on Tuesday evening.
Speaking after Senegal’s victory over Ecuador, Gana said at his post-match press conference, “The last 16 is not the objective. We see beyond that. We have no limits. We have a squad to go far. Playing like this, we can do something really interesting in this competition.”
On his part, Koulibaly, who joined Chelsea in the summer from Napoli said, “Don’t party, don’t be happy. We did something good, but it’s only the beginning. England or whoever, we’ll do everything to win the game. We are Senegal, we fear no-one. Lot’s of teams don’t want to play against us.”
