Why this former Chelsea star will flop at Arsenal

Former France star William Gallas has reacted to Arsenal’s decision to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the summer window in a deal that cost them £65million.

Gallas in a statement said Havertz would flop at the Emirates Stadium as he is struggling under Mikel Arteta because they play too differently to Chelsea.

So far this season, the 24-year-old German star has made three Premier League appearances and hasn’t scored a goal or created an assist for the Gunners.

Speaking to Gambling Zone, Gallas said: “At the moment Havertz isn’t performing.

“I was surprised to see him go to Arsenal. They could have got another player. It is difficult for him to find the right position.

“How Arsenal play is not the same as Chelsea – it’s hard for him at the moment. I don’t think he is going to be a success at Arsenal.”
