Why this Chelsea 23-year-old star could leave in January
Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah has been tipped to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
This is according to popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who Chalobah’s possible departure is due to not a lack of space for him in the team.
So far this season, the 23-year-old has made just one appearance for the Blues despite the club’s lack of defensive options earlier in the season.
It seems Kalidou Koulibaly’s suspension was part of the reason Chalobah made the starting line-up in the Blues’ 2-1 win against Leicester last month.
As expected, the reports have revealed that the Chelsea academy graduate is not happy with his lack of game time at the club.
Romano claimed that the defender himself wanted a move in the recent summer window to get more game time elsewhere.
And he was linked with moves to the likes of AC Milan and RB Leipzig but it never happened.
“At the moment, he’s not finding any space at Chelsea,” the Italian transfer expert explained on his YouTube channel.
“He wants to be not just a starter but an important player at Chelsea.
“At the moment, there is no space. From what I’m told, there are already conversations with the clubs still interested in Chalobah, so there is a chance for him to leave the club in January, either on loan or permanently.”
