Why Ronaldo and Pogba could leave Old Trafford next season
Former Man Utd star Paul Ince has raised speculations that Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo and France international Paul Pogba could depart Old Trafford next season.
According to Ince, if the Red Devils fail to secure a spot in the Uefa Champions League next season, the two football stars, among others, could depart the club.
Man Utd have dropped to the sixth spot on the EPL table following their 2-0 lost Man City at Old Trafford.
Ince stressed that with the way the likes of Arsenal are gaining back their form, Man Utd might find it hard to make it back to the top four.
“What I do know is something’s got to happen because you are talking about the fourth position, we are not guaranteed to get fourth,” Ince said on The United Stand.
“We have seen the resurgence of Arsenal, there are a lot of teams up there that could get fourth.
“We might not be in the Champions League next year.
“You can imagine next season… Ronaldo would be gone, Pogba would be gone, no Champions League football.
“This is what you have got to be careful of and I think the likes of Greenwood and Rashford, talented Manchester United kids that have come through the ranks.”
Man Utd will return to action after the international break when they will face Watford.
