Why Fofana may have reached an agreement with Chelsea

All seems to be going fine for Chelsea in their bid to sign Wesley Fofana from Leicester City this summer transfer window.

It is no longer news that the Blues want to sign a second defender this summer and Fofana is one of the names on their list.

It appears the deal for Fofana is almost done as the French star has deleted traces of Leicester City from his social media profiles ahead of a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea made signing a defender their priority this summer as they want replacements for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen after they depart from the club.

The Foxes want £80million for the 24-year-old defender which would make him the joint-most expensive defender of all time alongside Harry Maguire.

While the transfer fee has not put off Chelsea from the deal, the reports revealed the west London side are likely to include a player as part of the deal.

With no confirmation from Leicester City and Chelsea yet it seems Fofana has made up his mind to leave the King Power Stadium.
