Why Chelsea lost to Man City – Tuchel

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has opened up on why his side lost to Man City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Citizens at the back of their defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League.

Potter, in a statement, however, noted that despite their defeat and early elimination, there were a lot of positives to take home.

According to the former Brighton boss, “There was a lot to like” from the game, adding that his team created a lot of chances but were unable to find the back of the net.

“We created some big chances and attacked well. We weren’t perfect, but did a lot right in the game,” he told Sky Sports.

“It was a pleasing performance, a step forward in terms of how we want to play. I’m disappointed with the result but happy with the performance.”

Chelsea will now focus on their last match against Newcastle United this weekend in the Premier League before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
