Why Arsenal should have signed this Chelsea target from Napoli

Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards opened up on why Arsenal should have signed Chelsea target Victor Osimhen from Napoli during the summer transfer.

Richards described Napoli as one of the top players and one of the best strikers in the world.

Osimhen who was impressive for the Naples last season was linked with top European clubs, including Chelsea, over the summer transfer window.

“Marvellous, he would be absolutely marvellous anywhere,” Richards said on Rest is Football podcast.

“This player is one of the best strikers. I was saying Arsenal should have bought him in the summer.

“It might have cost a little bit too much then. His price might have gone down a little bit if they want to do a deal (in January). But, yeah, he’s a top, top player.”

The Gunners have had to rely on Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz who have not been all that impressive upfront this season.
