West Ham in talks to sign Chelsea defender

Chelsea could see one of their defenders and Italy international Emerson Palmieri leave the club this summer.

This comes as the report claim West Ham have taken interest in Palmieri and could make a move for him.

The report via Sky Sport says talks are already ongoing between both clubs and anything could happen before the summer transfer window closes.

Palmieri is not a part of manager Thomas Tuchel’s plans this season, and It was expected that another loan move would be the most likely outcome for him.

However, Sky Sports claim that the talks with the Hammers are for a permanent move, and the deal will be worth £13m.

Dharmesh Sheth wrote via his Twitter handle: “West Ham United in talks with Chelsea over the permanent signing of left-back Emerson. Clubs in discussion over a deal worth £13m.Emerson spent last season on loan at Lyon and has 2 years left on his contract.”

This would be a good move for all sides if it does happen.
