Vinicius to Chelsea? Truth behind transfer rumour emerges
Real Madrid star Vinicius had been linked with transfer moves away from the Spanish La Liga club to surprising switch to Premier League side Chelsea.
Reacting, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano shared the truth behind the rumours as he dismissed reports of Chelsea signing the forward.
According to transfer rumours, the west London club was planning to bring the Brazilian international to Stamford Bridge amid the ongoing January transfer window.
It was reported that the Blues were willing to submit £135million bid for Vinicius, with the player’s future still uncertain at the Santiago Bernabeu due to reported tension brewing between him and the Los Blancos manager Xabi Alonso.
Romano has now dismissed the reports, stating that no talks have taken place between Chelsea and Real Madrid over Vinicius’ transfer.
The football transfer expert added that the Brazilian remains focused on his contract with the Los Blancos.
“Reports on Vinicius Jr and Chelsea are completely wide of mark. No talks, no bid, no negotiations,” Romano tweeted via his officialX on Wednesday.
“Vini Jr remains completely focused on Real Madrid, contract situation to be assessed,” he added.
It is no news a player like the Brazilian will be a big boost for the Blues amid their poor form this season.
