Victor Osimhen to Chelsea: Transfer Takes Unexpected Turn Amid Galatasaray Interest

Chelsea face fresh competition as Galatasaray prepare £56m bid for Napoli striker
Chelsea’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen has taken an unexpected turn, with reports emerging that Turkish giants Galatasaray are preparing a £56 million offer to sign the Nigerian forward permanently.
Osimhen, 26, has been a long-standing target for Chelsea, who were heavily linked with the prolific striker last summer after it became apparent that his time at Napoli was coming to an end. While the Blues appeared well-positioned to secure his signature, late interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli complicated the deal.
Although Napoli were keen to accept the lucrative Saudi offer, Osimhen himself was reportedly reluctant to make the move to the Gulf. As a result, negotiations collapsed, and the striker was left in a difficult position—spending time on the sidelines and facing the prospect of limited game time until at least the January transfer window.
Now, Galatasaray have entered the fray with a serious proposal, hoping to secure the striker’s services ahead of the summer window. With Champions League football and a competitive project to offer, the Turkish club is optimistic about convincing Osimhen to consider a fresh start in Istanbul.
Chelsea, meanwhile, must now act swiftly if they are to revive talks and remain front-runners in the race. As competition for the striker intensifies, the coming weeks are likely to be crucial in determining his next destination.
