UCL: Guardiola breaks jinx as Man City makes it to final
For the first time in the history of Man City, this season will go down with a new record for them as they made it to their first Uefa Champions League and also have a high chance of clinching the trophy this season.
Tuesday night saw the Citizens host Paris Saint Germain PSG in the second leg of the tournament at Etihad stadium in a game that ended in a 2-0 scoreline.
Riyad Mahrez found the net in each half, as the Premier League toppers defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-0.
The result saw Man City qualify on a 4-1 aggregate as they had already won the first leg 2-1 in France a few days ago.
Another good news for Man City is that they could be on their way to win a Treble this season.
They have already clinched the EFL Cup and are just a point away from being declared the Premier League champions for this season.
Moving to the finals of the UCL, the Pep Guardiola’s led Man City side will now face Chelsea or Real Madrid in the final which will be played in Istanbul.
This is a great record in Guardiola’s career and his aim will now be challenging whichever team it is in the final where he would make sure he lifts the UCL trophy.
