UCL: Dortmund vs Chelsea team update
Chelsea will return to action tonight in the Uefa Champions League when they challenge Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea manager Graham Potter gave an update on his squad.
The Blues forward Raheem Sterling will remain absent having missed their 1-1 draw against West Ham at the weekend due to a knock to his knee which he suffered in training the preceding week.
Mateo Kovacic, Denis Zakaria and Wesley Fofana are back from injury and could play for Chelsea for the first time since their Champions League home game against Italian side AC Milan four months ago.
‘All three are in the squad so that’s good,’ said Potter at his pre-match press conference in Dortmund.
‘Like I said before the previous game, they were getting closer to minutes. The challenge for us is to build them up and to make sure they’re right from a game-time perspective, but it’s good that Wesley, Denis and Mateo are with the group.’
