Two Premier League Clubs in Talks Over Goalkeeper Transfer

Bournemouth are in advanced negotiations with Chelsea to sign goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, according to talkSPORT.

Chelsea have placed a £25 million valuation on the Serbian international, and Petrovic is reportedly open to making the move to the south coast.

Bournemouth are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping department following the departure of Kepa Arrizabalaga, who recently completed a transfer to Arsenal after spending last season on loan with the Cherries. Petrovic has emerged as their top target, and talks are progressing positively as they look to finalise a deal.

Newly promoted Sunderland have also expressed interest in Petrovic and have held preliminary discussions with Chelsea regarding a potential transfer. However, Bournemouth are currently leading the race for the 25-year-old’s signature.

Chelsea are prepared to let Petrovic leave this summer, provided their asking price is met. If the deal goes through, Petrovic is expected to take over as Bournemouth’s first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season.

Petrovic spent last season on loan at French club Strasbourg, where he was a key figure. He featured in 33 of their 34 Ligue 1 matches, missing only the opening fixture due to registration delays. His consistent performances have attracted attention, and a Premier League return now looks likely.

With discussions ongoing, Bournemouth are hopeful of securing the transfer soon as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
