Two Chelsea players blamed for defeat to Nottingham Forest
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has reacted to his side weekend’s defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The Argentine in a post-match statement expressed his unhappiness by mistakes made by two players Moises Caicedo and Thiago Silva, after the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to Nottingham Forest.
Silva and Caicedo were at fault for the lone goal of the match, scored by Anthony Elanga on 48 minutes.
Caicedo received the ball in his own half, but a poor touch saw him dispossessed, which saw Taiwo Awoniyi burst forward to play a pass through to Elanga, with the ball going in between Silva’s legs, before the Swedish star fired home.
“We made one mistake and we cannot make it. That is why we feel really disappointed.
“Football is about not making mistakes. We made one mistake and we paid for that,” Pochettino said.
Chelsea despite making some new signings continue to struggle this season.
