Tuchel reacts to Jorginho’s error vs Man Utd
Chelsea coach and Germany international Thomas Tuchel has reacted to an error committed by Italian midfielder Jorginho during their clash vs Man Utd on Sunday.
The error saw Jadon Sancho scored a goal for Man Utd in the 50th minute, but Jorginho would redeem himself after he scored a penalty which was an equaliser for the Blues.
Tuchel, in a post-match statement, said the mistake was an unusual one, and Jorginho misjudged the situation.
“It’s very unusual a mistake like this and to concede a goal for us in general, especially because of Jorgi. I think he misjudged the situation and I think he was heavily disturbed by the lights, so he didn’t see the ball in the end. It happened.”
Reacting to how the Italian midfielder was still able to take the penalty kick, Tuchel said, “It takes a lot of courage and personality not to be affected during the match and to have the courage to take the penalty for the equaliser at a crucial moment. I am very happy he did it.”
Chelsea will now face Watford in their next match on Wednesday.
