Troubles for Barcelona as La Liga blocks them from registering Chelsea targets
It seems Barcelona’s summer moves for some players may have all been for waste.
This comes as the Catalans suffered a huge blow, after the Spanish Laliga inform them they can’t register any of their new signings until they reduce their financial outgoings.
This summer, the Catalans signed Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, many, of who were Chelsea’s targets.
Barca also renewed their deals for Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto.
According to the Laliga, none of these players have been registered with the Spanish football authority.
On Friday, during the presentation of Lewandowski at Camp Nou, club supremo Laporta told assembled fans: “We have worked to enrol all of them (the new signings). We have worked hard and productively, in order to meet the requirements.
“And if it is necessary to carry out any more operations, we will do it. We are waiting. It is a decision that La Liga must make. We have complied with what it requires. We are confident that we will be able to register them.”
