Trouble for Chelsea as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are willing to meet up Rudiger’s wage demand
Chelsea may have found themselves in a difficult situation regarding the contract of their key defender and Germany international, Antonio Rudiger.
While Chelsea are still trying to get Rudiger to sign an extension at the club as his current contract ends this season, European clubs Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are, however, going the extra length to convince the German to leave Stamford Bridge.
The latest report via The Athletic revealed that the Blues have been dealt yet another twist in the tale regarding Rudiger’s ongoing contract saga as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are willing to meet his steep wage demands.
The report added that the centre-half who is not on the Blues top ten earners on £100,000 a week, and below first-team rotators Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, is aiming for an increase up to £200,000 a week.
Although Rudiger hopes to remain at Stamford Bridge, The Athletic claimed that Madrid and Bayern are ready to pay the salary he is looking for amid the ongoing negotiations between Chelsea and the German international.
While Chelsea may not have to match the wage Real and Bayern offer, however an offer close to it would make Rudiger remain at the west London club, according to the report.
