Transfer Report: Manchester United still wants to sign Chelsea target after latest development
RB Leipzig have allegedly recognized a replacement for Chelsea target Dayot Upamecano.
Dayot Upamecano has built himself as one of the world’s top prospects over the past couple of seasons, and the 21-year-old has been broadly connected with many top European sides.
With the Red Devils probably hoping to support their defensive positions before the transfer window closes on October 5, Manchester United are believed to be at the top of the line for Dayot Upamecano’s signature.
Manchester United could now hope to step up their quest for the exceptionally rated Frenchman, with Croatian outlet Sportske revealing that RB Leipzig have agreed a deal with Dinamo Zagreb for teenage centre-back Josko Gvardiol.
The report guarantees that RB Leipzig and Zagreb have agreed over a £17m fee for the 18-year-old, who was also on the radar of Leeds United.
While Gvardiol’s proposed arrival could see the Red Devils be given the green light to move for Dayot Upamecano, RB Leipzig chief Julian Nagelsmann has recently demanded that the Frenchman will stay in Germany until further notice.
