Transfer Deal: Man Utd are favourite to sign this Argentine player ahead of Arsenal and Leeds United

As the January transfer window is set to be opened in the next few weeks, Manchester United have emerged the favourite to sign Thiago Almada from Velez Sarsfield.

According to the reports, the Red Devils were linked with moves to sign the 19-year-old in the summer but it didn’t work out as he seems not to be ready to leave as at then.

Aside Man Utd, Almada has been linked with moves to Leeds United, with another report stating that Arsenal have also shown interest in him.

The reports however, claims Man Utd are likely to sign him.

According to report, Manchester United are in pole position for the 19-year-old and a deal could even be possible in the January transfer window. It claimed the Red Devils are already in advance discussion with Velez Sarsfield.

The Red Devils hope to sign a new attacker after they failed to sign top target Jadon Sancho in the summer, but secured deals for young wingers Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo.

Aside from being able to play as an attacker, the youngster can also play as a midfielder, making him a plus for the Red Devils.

The young midfielder is one of the most promising wingers in South America, having scored nine goals in 43 appearances in the Argentine top flight since his debut in 2018.
