Transfer Deal: Chelsea still keen on signing Bayern Munich defender

Chelsea will supposedly have conversations with the agent of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba when the next transfer window really gets started.

David Alaba has still not signed another deal at the Allianz Arena, and the way things are, the Austria defender will be out of contract next June.

Various clubs, including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Juventus, have been credited with an interest in the talented defender, who stays an essential figure for the European champions.

However, as per Bild journalist Christian Falk, David Alaba’s representative Pini Zahavi will hold talks with Chelsea in January over the chance of a move to Stamford Bridge.

Christian Falk, however, claims that Paris Saint-Germain are also firmly in the chase for the 28-year-old, who will apparently have the pick of various top European sides if he chooses to look for pastures new.

The Austria international has made many appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions, winning nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns during his time at the Allianz Arena.
