Tottenham’s move to replace former Chelsea manager suffers blow
Tottenham Hotspurs’ moves to replace Antonio Conte has suffered a potential blow.
This comes after viral reports claimed Spanish giants Real Madrid defeated them to the appointment of their main target Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino has been out of job since leaving Paris Saint-Germain and was strongly linked with a return to North London.
This is after reports of Antonio Conte being fired this week after being granted an explosive interview last weekend.
Real Madrid are on the lookout for a new manager, with veteran Carlo Ancelotti tipped to leave at the end of the season.
A report via The Times revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a big fan of Pochettino.
The former Tottenham manager is said to be top on Madrid’ wanted list ahead of the summer should Ancelotti depart.
This means Tottenham will have to make a quick decision on whether they want a new manager or not.
