As pre-season preparations ramp up, Chelsea and Tottenham are actively maneuvering in the transfer market. Both clubs are fine-tuning their squads with new signings and strategic moves.

Chukwuemeka Latest

Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has attracted interest from AC Milan, who are reportedly keen on a loan deal.

Chukwuemeka, who joined Chelsea last summer, might still feature in new manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the upcoming season.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano expressed surprise at the loan rumors, stating, “Chelsea don’t want to loan him out. The situation is quiet, and he has a £40m release clause in his contract.”

Lukaku Chooses Napoli

Romelu Lukaku is set to depart Chelsea, with a transfer fee exceeding £25 million anticipated.

Despite the financial loss on their £100 million investment, Chelsea will recoup some funds. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Lukaku prefers a move to Napoli, attracted by the presence of former boss Antonio Conte.

However, Napoli must first sell Victor Osimhen to finance the deal, potentially delaying the transfer.

Tottenham Eyes Jonathan David

Tottenham is reportedly interested in Canadian and Lille striker Jonathan David, with a potential £25 million deal in sight.

The race for David is heating up, with other Premier League clubs also in pursuit. Journalist Ben Jacobs shared, “Newcastle are the newest suitors. West Ham could turn their attention to David, and there’s substance to the Spurs links.”

David commented on his future, “There’s always a lot of noise. But I’m still at Lille. We’ll see if I return to Lille for preseason or move elsewhere.

I’m waiting for an offer to be put on the table. Then, I’ll make the right choice, whether it’s to leave or stay.”

As the transfer window progresses, both Chelsea and Tottenham are expected to continue their efforts to bolster their squads for the upcoming season.
