Three targets Potter must meet at Chelsea
Chelsea’s new manager Graham Potter will have to meet three targets at the club to clear doubt on his future.
Potters, who came in as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel who was sacked on Wednesday morning, signed a five-year deal worth £10million each season.
The Blues, currently at the sixth spot on the Premier League table, have not been impressive this new season.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues’ owners led by Todd Boehly have detailed two clear targets for the new manager: the first is to secure a top-four finish and the second is a deep run in the Champions League.
The report revealed Potter would be sacked if he fails to achieve either of those things and the third target is to improve performances and forge a new philosophy at the club.
If the new manager makes positive progress, he would be granted a second season and supported with new signings next summer.
Following the postponement of this weekend match, Potter will wait till Wednesday in the UCL to lead the Blues to their game vs RB Salzburg.
