Thomas Tuchel shares Chelsea’s injury problem ahead of FA Cup clash
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will be without some of his key players when the blues meet Barnsley in their FA Cup match.
Tuchel has been impressive ever since he became Chelsea manager, winning all but one Premier League match he has played and all eyes will on him when the blues play Barnsley on Thursday night’s FA Cup fifth-round.
The blues were putting in some impressive performance in the competition under Frank Lampard and Tuchel who has a record of winning trophies will be eager to continue.
Tuchel has now revealed that veteran defender Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic will be out of the team.
Thiago Silva who has become an important player in the Chelsea set-up sustained a muscle injury during the blues victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender is now working on his recovery behind the scenes at Cobham and will not be available for the clash against Barnsley.
Thiago Silva’s injury also means he will be sitting out of the blues Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Monday night.
Pulisic on his part will not be available not because of injury but family issues.
The stated that the winger missed the victory over Sheffield United because of family issues and might not be returning for the match against Barnsley as a family is the priority.
Chelsea have become a strong team under Tuchel and are currently fifth in the Premier League table, just a point behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
