This defender rated as the Chelsea player that never disappoints

Chelsea star, Petr Cech, has named the Blues captain and Spain international Cesar Azpilicueta as one of the Blues players that ‘never disappoints.’

According to Cech, Azpilicueta is an honest player both on and off the pitch while stressing that he works hard.

Czech made this known ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Recall that Azpilicueta recently led Chelsea to win their first FIFA Club World Cup after beating Palmeiras 2-1 in the final, thanks to Kai Havertz’s late goal in the extra-time of the second half.

The recent victory in Abu Dhabi means Azpilicueta has lifted every trophy available to him since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2012.

“Azpi [Cesar Azpilicueta] has now won everything, and that is an amazing achievement. All the credit goes to him,” Cech told Chelsea’s official website.

“When he arrived in 2012, he came first to compete for his spot. He had a long-term injury the year before, so he had had a difficult time before he came to us. He had to start from scratch, fighting for his place.

“He is one of those players who never disappoints you. He works hard, he does everything. He is an honest player on the pitch, and off the pitch, he works hard.”
